Imagine having jeans that charge your phone just by putting it in your pocket. That's what this material does. It was developed for the British Army. The fabric is made of yarn. The yarn can conduct electricity from a battery pack to anywhere in your clothing. It can charge your gadgets on contact.
The fabric has been developed by Intelligent Textiles. It can carry either power or data through a soldier's clothes, helmet, or backpack. It can charge gear that otherwise needs separate power sources. The materials have been field tested. But they still need to be weather-proofed.
Intelligent Textiles
And that's all great, but could this ever make it into your home, and charge your phone or laptop someday? Right now, charging a battery still involves wires, chargers, and sockets. Inductive charging is developing. But you cannot just put your phone down on any surface and start powering up.
But what if your pants or jacket or bag could charge your phone, or laptop or anything else? And what if that could be combined with some kind of inductive charging? You'd be able to almost totally cut the cord with your gadgets. Yes, you'd need to charge up whatever power source you're using now and then, but keep a pair of khakis plugged in while they hang in the closet. It would be a lot different from having to remember to plug in your phone.

Imagine having jeans that charge your phone just by putting it in your pocket.
imagine doing sth.
She imagines herself becoming a famous actress.
The fabric is made of yarn. be made of 由……
The desk is made of wood.
注意区别 be made from 由……
This brown paper is also made from wood.
It can carry either power or data through a soldier's clothes, helmet, or backpack.
either … or …
You can either go home or stay here to continue our work.
It can charge gear that otherwise needs separate power sources.
I'm lucky that I'm interested in school work; otherwise I'd go mad.
But they still need to be weather-proofed.
… but could this ever make it into your home, and charge your phone or laptop someday?……
We could have another war in the Gulf regions if the present tension continues.
But what if your pants or jacket or bag could charge your phone, or laptop or anything else?
What if she finds out that you've lost her book?
v
What if that could be combined with some kind of inductive charging?
You'd be able to almost totally cut the cord with your gadgets.
•虚拟语气what if …和would be …
What if he doesn't agree?
He would be able to buy a house with the money left by his parents.
