Howard:OK, Frank, you know why you're here. What's the latest situation with all these customer complaints we've been receiving?
霍华德:好的,弗兰克,你知道为什么叫你来。我们收到的这些顾客投诉的最新情况是什么?

Frank:We've had a lot of problems with some of the shirts from one of our new suppliers. I'm afraid the quality of the material has not always been up to standard.
弗兰克:我们新供应商的一部分衬衫出现了很多问题,恐怕是布料的质量并不总是达到标准。

Howard:All shirts?
霍华德:所有的衬衫都有问题吗?

Frank:It seems that different batches vary in quality. Quite a few customers have been complaining that our quality control doesn't appear to be good.
弗兰克:看起来是不同批次的衬衫质量有差别。有不少顾客已经抱怨我们的质量控制不到位。

Howard:Absolutely! What's being done about it now?
霍华德:那当然啦!现在你们对这个问题采取了什么措施?

Frank:Every time a customer has complained we've followed our store policy and offered them an exchange or a full refund.
弗兰克:每次有顾客投诉我们就根据商店的规定给他们换货或者退全款。

Howard:How about the Purchasing Department?
霍华德:采购部那边的情况呢?

Frank:I contacted Purchasing and they said they're talking to the supplier about it right now. Hopefully we'll have a solution in a few days.
弗兰克:我和采购部联系过,他们说他们正在和供应商交涉。希望几天内我们能有一个解决方案……

Howard:A few days? We've got to do something now to reassure our customers. I suggest you offer affected customers a discount on their next store purchase, explain the situation and apologize to them.
霍华德:几天?我们现在就得做点什么来让我们的顾客放心。我建议你给受此影响的顾客提供下次到商店购物的折扣,给他们解释事情的原委并向他们道歉。

Frank:Right, of course. I'll get on it right away.
弗兰克:好的,当然。我会立刻着手进行。

Howard:Good. Thanks. Make sure you do. And, also, I suggest you tell Purchasing to look at other suppliers.
霍华德:很好,谢谢。请务必照办。此外我建议你转告采购部考虑其他的供应商。

Frank:OK, I'll have a word with them.
弗兰克:好的,我会和他们谈谈。
